Keynote Speaker: Peng WU

Peng is the Program Director of Research at Stellar Capacity, a globally leading education company advancing digital knowledge and skills in leaders and organizations. He works at the intersection of technology growth and digital transformation in society, economy, and politics, focusing on Generative AI and its impacts.

Born in China, educated in the United States, and currently residing in Europe, Peng understands the importance of bridging between the various outlooks and cultures of our globally networked society and is able to speak to the societal nuances in Chinese, American, and European audiences.

Peng draws deep industry experience from his previous roles within the maritime industry, where he specialized in logistics and trade as the former VP of Operations for one of the largest privately-owned fleets in the US. During his time at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Peng's focus was on sustainable urban planning with a specialty in data, technology, and social sustainability. As Director of Research at Stellar Capacity, Peng worked with and repeatedly lectured with industry leaders such as AstraZeneca, Activision Blizzard, Epiroc, as well as government organizations such as the Swedish Air Force.

Utilizing the insight gained from his work and research, Peng is passionate about mobilizing leaders and organizations to develop their skills and mindsets to meet the challenges and seize the opportunities presented by accelerating technological change. He has a particular focus on understanding how Generative AI technology and tools can be implemented within organizations and the implications of their adoption for leadership and ways of working.

Leadership: The Shape of the School in an AI-Empowered Future: The State of the Art and Possible Visions

• The morning sessions will be catered to educators currently in leadership roles who are the change-makers in their schools/institutions. These roles could range from Board of Governors, Heads of Schools, Principals, Vice/Assistant Principals, Directors, Curriculum/Coaches, etc).
• Limited capacity.
• Light refreshments and lunch are provided.

Day 1 - Afternoon Sessions (13:00-16:00)

For All Educators

Keynote: (Re)Learning how to Learn - Schools, Educators, and Students in the Age of AI

• This is the public opening for FOLHK 2024.
• These sessions are open to all educators who registered.
• Light refreshments are provided.

Day 2 - Morning/Afternoon Session (8:30-16:00)

For All Educators

Keynote: TBD

Closing: What's Next? Critical Skills to Empower Education in the Near Future

• These sessions are open to all educators who registered.
  
• Light refreshments and lunch are provided.

Conference Schedule

Each workshop will be 50 minutes on the theme of ADAPTABILITY.

Workshop strands range from the early years to secondary, including specialists, leadership, STEAM, well-being, innovation, and more!

The History

The Future of Learning Hong Kong [formally the Apple Distinguished Educators (ADE) Conference] aims to gather local and international educators to learn from Apple Teachers and Apple Distinguished Educators (ADEs) who create with Apple technologies. These educators encompass the beliefs and values of sharing authentic practices and promoting powerful ideas for improving teaching and learning for the diverse participants in our Hong Kong community. All registered and attending participants received a certificate of participation.

This conference was the first of its kind, created and organized by Apple Distinguished Educators of HK in 2019.

On 11 November 2023, Chinese International School (CIS) hosted the 2nd ADEHK Conference, The Power of Play. This theme emphasizes that play is an essential and valuable learning experience, potentially enhancing various aspects of our lives.

The Committee

All Future of Learning Conference Committee members are Apple Distinguished Educators and full-time educators who volunteer their time to organize this event. Their primary goal is to create an inclusive, multilingual platform for professional development and knowledge-sharing within the local and international education community in Hong Kong and beyond.
